SuperPaint - to give yourself more room to work on a detailed painting - temporarily copy part of the painting to the draw layer.  Select the part you want to move, press COMMAND-E to copy it to the draw layer and erase the original in the paint layer.  Choose Hide Back Layer to obscure the image in the draw layer.  When you want to retrieve your stored graphic, go to the draw layer, select it, and transfer it back to the paint layer with COMMAND-E.
